It's happening, John: Donald Trump is back in Iowa for a rally, and Sen. Grassley will be sharing the stage with him. This is an urgent moment for our campaign, for Iowa and our country, and my friend Rep. Adam Schiff and I were hoping you'll allow me a minute to explain why.

I served alongside Adam in Congress when Trump was president. We had an up-close seat as he obstructed justice and spouted his dangerous and increasingly anti-democratic ideologies. We've seen how much progress our country has made in less than a year since voters sent him and Republicans packing in the 2020 election. With Democratic majorities, our country has finally been able to start moving forward.

But today, Donald Trump landed in Iowa to kick off his comeback tour with my opponent Sen. Grassley (R-IA) right beside him – and we know exactly what Trump’s game plan is. Step one: protect vulnerable incumbents like his top ally Sen. Grassley and dismantle Democratic majorities. Step two: take back the White House.

Adam isn’t one to sugarcoat things and neither am I: Trump returning to our state is incredibly dangerous. He will do everything he can to return Senate control to Republican hands. And he’s eager to protect his ally, Sen. Grassley – who recently defended Trump's attempts to use the Department of Justice to overturn the 2020 election results and now will be speaking alongside him at his far-right MAGA rally.

It's up to grassroots teams like ours to fight back and ensure that Trump and the Republicans don't regain control of our majorities in Congress. But my campaign, and Adam’s campaign, need grassroots resources to do it. That’s why we’ve set an emergency goal to raise $10,000 before midnight tonight.
