Shervin Aazami is a public health activist running a grassroots, people-powered campaign for Congress in the West San Fernando Valley (CA-30). This means we proudly accept ZERO money from corporations or lobbyists.

Shervin is also an immigrant and child of asylum seekers, a husband, and a new dad, who is fighting for economic and racial justice. He’s looking to be the first progressive Iranian to serve in the House of Representatives.

Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Shervin witnessed firsthand the challenges that face his district – challenges like air pollution, homelessness, lack of health insurance, and wealth inequality due to corporate greed. The only way to address these problems is with bold progressive solutions, not the corporate-friendly policies pushed by congressman Brad Sherman.

Brad Sherman has been in Congress for 24 years and has failed to deliver a single piece of progressive legislation for Californians. Instead, he's been bought out by large corporations, answering to them instead of his own constituents.

When Shervin is elected to Congress, his progressive platform won't just be talking points. His bold agenda includes:

• Single-payer Medicare For All
• Climate justice and a Green New Deal
• A federal Homes Guarantee
• Divestment from the U.S. War Machine
