Team —

A lot of folks are looking for the best way to make a contribution and have it make a meaningful difference in the next election. I’d like to recommend you add a donation to my friend, Senator Gary Peters. Let me explain:

Gary and I have worked for years together to fight for quality, affordable health care in the Senate and now he’s facing a tough re-election campaign where Republicans will spend whatever it takes to beat him.

The truth is, the recent polling shows Gary is tied with his right-wing opponent. We could lose this race, and with it, not just a champion for progressive values, but also any chance to win back the Senate majority.

There’s good news, however. Your contribution could be the difference for Gary because in Michigan, just like in Wisconsin, grassroots donations can go a long way. We proved that in our campaign last year. Let’s do it again.

If you’re looking for a critical race to be a part of in this election, then I’m personally asking you to add a contribution to Senator Gary Peters’ re-election campaign in Michigan today. We can’t turn the Senate blue without him, and we sure as heck can’t afford to lose his leadership.

Michigan and Wisconsin have a lot in common, but the most important thing is that both states went to Trump in 2016. The GOP has their eyes on Gary’s race in Michigan, just like they had their eyes on ours last year.

That means everything we do in the weeks and months ahead will make a real difference when the votes are counted next year. I hope Gary and I can count on you to make a donation today.

Thank you for all you do.
