Free and fair elections are essential to a healthy democracy, but they’re under attack by Republicans looking to tip the scales. Georgia Republicans passed one of the most restrictive voting bills in the country — because they didn’t like the results of the election.
That’s why I’m pleased to endorse Rep. Bee Nguyen as Georgia’s next Secretary of State. She is exactly the person we need to safeguard our democracy.
Bee made history when she was elected as the first Asian-American Democratic woman to the Georgia General Assembly in House District 89, and would be the first Asian-American woman to be Secretary of State.
She is a trusted leader, who will put the Secretary of State’s office on the side of all Georgia voters, including Black and brown voters. She’s been a tireless fighter against the Big Lies that Trump has spread about Georgia’s elections, and has fought to restore the right to vote for 53,000 Georgians.
