That’s why when a county clerk lied to the Secretary of State's Office and allowed confidential election information and passwords to be leaked online, Jena took swift action. She immediately began an investigation, and in a matter of days, decertified election equipment in that county and took steps to ensure the county has great elections in 2021.

We are seeing an unprecedented attack on voting rights, and some of the biggest threats come from far-right elected officials who have continued to spread the Big Lie. With many Secretary of State seats on the ballot in 2022, we need to be prepared for radical Republican candidates who are interested in pushing their extreme agenda forward.

Candidates running to oversee elections need to respect and uphold the will of the voters. They have to be able to fairly oversee every election, regardless of whether they personally like the outcome. Period.
