Run for Something

Hi John,

I'm so excited to share this big news: This year is on pace to be our biggest recruitment year ever!

This week, we launched a partnership with Snapchat to recruit young people to Run for Something. Fewer than 10% of officials are under age 35, which means an entire GENERATION is underrepresented in politics. In just the first 24 hours of Snapchat's new Run for Office mini, we had nearly 3,000 young people sign up with Run for Something to run for office. We also launched our own Snapchat account -- make sure to follow us @runforoffice.

Our other new partnership is with 3.14 Action and Doctors in Politics to elevate and empower doctors running for office. Already since we started working together barely two months ago, together we've recruited over 120 doctors to run for local office. They are fed up with a complete disregard for science and are ready to do something about it.

With so many new potential candidates signing up, we'll need to increase our efforts to support them.

Here's how you can help:

  1. Donate whatever you can so we have enough resources to support this surge -- everything from staff to technology to seed funding for their campaigns.
  2. Volunteer and help turn these potential candidates into actual ones!
  3. Run for local office! (We're the experts, just ask)
