URGENT: 126,000 gallons of oil spilled on southern California beaches! Add your name to Oceana's petition. Urge President Biden and Congress to permanently protect our oceans and coasts from new dirty and dangerous offshore drilling >>

Jack,
Our oceans, marine life, and coastal communities need your help today to permanently stop new dangerous offshore drilling for oil and gas.
President Biden promised to end new offshore drilling on the campaign trail, but recently announced that his administration will hold a lease sale for new drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. And then on Saturday, October 2, a pipeline breach off southern California sent thousands of gallons of oil into the Pacific Ocean and dead wildlife began washing ashore!
Dirty and dangerous offshore drilling exacerbates the climate crisis and poses an immediate threat to our oceans. Permanent protection from new offshore drilling would protect our coasts from the dangers of oil spills and contribute to the fight against climate change; all the while paving the way for good paying American jobs in clean, renewable energy, like offshore wind.
Right now, President Biden and Congress have the opportunity to put an end to the most new leasing for offshore drilling and permanently protect our oceans and coasts. But our opponent — the fossil fuel industry — has deep pockets, and we desperately need your voice encouraging the president to go the final mile for our oceans and marine life.
Sign on. Tell President Biden and Congress to permanently protect our oceans and coasts against dangerous offshore drilling and take action against climate change >>

Opposition to dirty and dangerous offshore oil drilling is widespread and bipartisan. And it's easy to see why. Permanently protecting our coasts could:
- Stop over 19 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions fueling climate change.
- Prevent more than $720 billion in damage to people, property, and the environment.
- Protect the roughly 3.3 million American jobs and $250 billion in GDP supported by activities like tourism, recreation, and fishing.
Together, we can win permanent protection against dirty and dangerous offshore drilling during a time of undeniable climate crisis. Jack — are you with us?
Add your name. Use your voice and tell President Biden to permanently protect our oceans and coasts for good from dirty and dangerous offshore drilling >>
