Ingrid Lyons and Megan Wind from the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters head up the Gunflint Trail, a gateway to the Wilderness on the east side of the Boundary Waters. They meet Matthew Baxley, a skeptical supporter living in Northeastern Minnesota, who wants to dive into the issue and discover why the Boundary Waters is worth protecting. He will meet different people who can provide more insight into what it takes to protect the Boundary Waters. In the second episode, Matthew gets a chance to tour the proposed mine site next to the Wilderness.
