Because the tragic reality is that, even amidst a raging gun violence epidemic, the filibuster blocks Congress from passing the bipartisan, life-saving gun safety bills before them. And they’re not alone: Even after massacres at Sandy Hook, Parkland, and many more, the filibuster has completely gridlocked the U.S. Senate from passing legislative solutions.
