Dear John,
The response to our $100,000 Fall Matching Gift Challenge has been amazing, and I appreciate all the generous gifts we've received so far from supporters all around the country.
Are YOU ready to make 2X the difference to help fund research and to enhance care and support for people living with Alzheimer's?
Two generous supporters who share your commitment, Tom Detelich and his wife, Diane, have generously offered to match every gift, up to a total of $100,000, until October 15.
Their gift will support an awareness campaign for their local Alzheimer's Association chapter, while yours can go twice as far to advance research and provide care and support for people living with Alzheimer's.
That means you have the incredible opportunity to make your gift — up to $100,000 — go 2X as far to advance our crucial work to fight this devastating disease. Please take your interest to the next level by making your first gift to the Alzheimer's Association today.
Now more than ever, the millions of people living with Alzheimer's, along with their caregivers, need our unconditional support.
The Alzheimer's Association continues to provide help through our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) and trusted online tools, such as our E-Learning Workshops, offering free courses to learn more about the disease and to plan and ALZConnected®, a forum where caregivers and people living with Alzheimer's can share concerns and advice.
Research that is taking place now can lead to new diagnostic tools, new treatments and, one day, a cure. You may have read about some of the encouraging research announcements that have been made just this year — all promising steps in the right direction. But continued funding is the key, along with our continued commitment to ensuring all those living with Alzheimer's get the care and support they need.
You understand how important this work is. But there is more we must do.
"This disease is horrible, and we need to fight it." said Tom. "We must support the research that will bring a stop or slowing of the disease."
Thanks to you, we've been able to increase research funding to over $250 million in more than 750 best-of-field projects in 39 countries. But we can't stop there.
We need your help to fund research and provide crucial care and support. Please make your gift now so every dollar can be matched during this $100,000 Matching Gift Challenge.

I want to raise every dollar and meet this amazing match challenge, because the funds are so urgently needed.
And although the response so far has been encouraging, we still have some distance to go, and now we have less than a week left. Can we count on you to help?
Please support our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
P.S. Every dollar we receive during this match challenge brings us closer to our $100,000 goal and helps fund vital research and provide care and support. Your gift today can be matched 2X to make an even more powerful difference. Please make your best gift now.
