Friend – I just wrapped my appearance on MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell where I talked about Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) rallying with Donald Trump here in Iowa tomorrow. If you're with me in this fight to defeat Sen. Grassley and the extremism of the Republican party, can I ask you to chip in a grassroots donation of whatever you can right now? 

I'm not going to mince words here: Trump's dangerous conspiracy theories, radicalism and anti-democratic sentiments have no place in our state or anywhere else in our country. Yet Sen. Grassley's choosing to stand side-by-side with him during a MAGA rally. Sen. Grassley’s implicit – and sometimes explicit – endorsement of Trump’s rhetoric is entirely unacceptable. Frankly, I believe it makes him unfit to serve.

Our state deserves a senator who will fight for working families instead of spreading dangerous conspiracy theories – and our country deserves a Senate that will do the same. If we win here in Iowa, we can guarantee both, and our path to victory in Iowa has never been clearer. 

You see, Iowans are done with Sen. Grassley – only 27% of voters want to reelect him. The momentum is on our side, and I can promise you that no one is going to work harder than me to flip this seat blue. But it’s clear that Trump will do everything he can to take back the Senate majority and make sure Sen. Grassley is reelected. I fully intend to win, but I need you to stand with me.

I know that days like these are long – but we have to meet the moment when we're called upon.
