Here’s the truth: the U.S. is one of the wealthiest countries in history, but it has fallen far behind on green, modern infrastructure because of blatant GOP denial.
It cannot be said enough: we have to immediately take action on climate change. In California, we have seen more droughts and wildfires in recent years than ever before.
President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda is essential to building our green future up. It will not only fix our roads and bridges, but invest in green energy, improve internet access, and invest in energy efficient, affordable housing options for working class Americans.
But this bill is going to be tough to pass in our divided Congress: too many of my Republican colleagues still refuse to admit climate change is a problem, much less cooperate with a solution.
