🏡 Make life more affordable for middle-class workers and their families -- paid for by ensuring the super wealthy pay their fair share.
♻️ Create jobs to make our economy more resilient to climate-change fueled disasters like floods, wildfires, hurricanes, and droughts -- saving Americans money and building a cleaner, fairer, and more productive economy.
🏦 Extend the American Rescue Plan's expanded Child Tax Credit and Earned-Income Tax Credit -- benefiting millions and cutting child poverty by 40%.
🏥 Make health care, child care, and caring for elderly Americans more affordable.

Capitol Hill update: Republicans must raise the debt ceiling
President Biden is calling on Republicans in Congress to work with Democrats to raise the debt ceiling, a historically bipartisan responsibility.
Under the previous administration, the country racked up nearly $8 trillion in debt -- nearly a quarter of the entire national debt -- in part for Republicans to give the wealthiest Americans a tax giveaway. Now, those same Republicans are blocking Democrats from raising the debt ceiling to avoid an economic catastrophe.
Raising the debt ceiling accounts for old debts. Time and time again, Republicans continue to make it clear that they refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.
