I am so proud to fight for the real transformative change we need in Washington. The Build Back Better Act will address so much more than infrastructure – it will set our communities up for the future.
Here in New York, we experienced the remnants of Hurricane Ida which devastated our city. The Build Back Better Act would allow us to address climate change and extreme weather events, especially in Black and brown communities that often bear the brunt of these disasters.
The Build Back Better Act would prepare us for the future by creating jobs not just in sectors like infrastructure, but in all facets of the economy where some of our most vulnerable communities work, like food service, hospitality, child care, and education.
This act builds resilience and creates a pathway towards thriving communities and accomplishes what Biden asked Democrats to do.
