"It Takes a Village" by Kathy Wilson
Oil and Found Objects on Canvas
25.75 x 21.5 in.

This painting is a combination of oil, canvas, and found objects put together in a way that lets the viewer look down on a small town in some remote part of the world. Kathy spent a year in France and Switzerland -- thus beginning her love of the look and feel of small European villages that inspired this piece. Her thought-provoking title adds yet another dimension to the viewer's experience.

"Bridging the Age Gap on Golden Gate" by Jeny Smith
Media -- Photo Printed on Canvas (1/5 prints)
24 x 18 in.

Since learning how to drive a Bobcat in San Francisco, Jenny Smith has had an ongoing obsession with construction. She started noticing heavy equipment everywhere in the changing landscape of the city and started taking pictures of these vibrantly colored framework structures. This image caught Smith's eye because of the dichotomy between the school and the senior center. Where a boom lift represents an intersection in the city, on Golden Gate Avenue, that captures two key moments in life.

"From My Father's Home" by Mira Waksman
Mixed Media
10 x 10 in. each
Two pieces sold as a pair

The inspiration for the two pieces is from sketches Waksman made of cookware that her father brought from his home country of Uzbekistan. Through color and texture, Waksman invites the viewer to create memories and a connection to the past through ordinary items. Waksman is deeply influenced by the Uzbek Ikat design and the colorful Uzbek textile that is part of her heritage.
