Reproductive rights are once again under attack in the Legislature, John.

Senate Bill 912 and House Bill 1977 would ban abortions in cases where a physician can detect a fetal heartbeat. A heartbeat can typically be detected between six and seven weeks of pregnancy, which makes these bills an abortion ban — and that's precisely the point.

Governor Tom Wolf has made it clear he will veto this legislation — let's show everyone our movement is with him.

There's no room for politics in reproductive health decisions made between a patient and their doctor. Add your name if you agree.

There are many issues the legislators sponsoring and supporting these bills could take up — and find consensus on! — instead of parroting these extreme bills that are doomed to fail.

When I decided to run for Lieutenant Governor, I pledged to be a progressive backstop for Governor Wolf, who would fight back against reckless and extreme legislation. And that's exactly what I intend to do here.

Thank you for standing with us,

John
