Democrat,
Republican Jack Ciattarelli would like you to believe that he’s just an average Main Street small business owner, but that’s a lie. In reality, Ciattarelli ran a multi-million medical publishing company that made him rich by pushing doctors to overprescribe dangerous opioid medications. Watch our new ad here to learn more. Header: Gov. Murphy Update [[link removed]] Governor Murphy knows that keeping our communities safe from gun violence is one of the most important things our state government can do. That’s why he has been a champion for gun safety, passing tougher laws and standing up to the NRA to protect our state. Read more in this piece by former Congresswoman and gun safety advocate Gabby Giffords on Governor Murphy’s record and why it’s so important to re-elect him in November. [[link removed]]

The same can’t be said for his opponent, Republican Jack Ciattarelli, who wants to open our state to concealed carry of firearms and weaken our gun laws [[link removed]] . That’s just another reason to re-elect Governor Murphy!

In 2018, a Blue Wave hit New Jersey, with Democrats winning congressional seats across the state and rising stars like Mikie Sherril, Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski defeating Republicans and winning seats that had long been GOP strongholds. Further down the ballot another major victory happened in Somerset County, where with the guidance of our Vice Chair and Somerset County Democrats Chair Peg Schaffer, Democrats Shanel Robinson and Sara Sooy had a breakthrough victory for two seats on the county Board of Commissioners. The win was the first in a string of victories for the Somerset Dems, who now have full control of county government. Shanel and Sara are now running for re-election and I am proud to support these two outstanding women leaders who have truly made a difference in a short time in office. You can learn more about them and support their campaign here. [[link removed]]

Congressional leadership and President Biden are still working to pass the President’s ambitious Build Back Better agenda as well as the bipartisan infrastructure bill. Passing both of these pieces of legislation is essential to not only giving much-needed help to working and middle class families throughout the country, but also to improving our party’s chances of keeping and expanding our congressional majorities in next year’s midterm election.
Read more here about why I believe all Democrats in New Jersey and throughout the nation must support President Biden’s agenga. [[link removed]]
