Permanent Exhibit Reopens October 18

The permanent exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, including the replica Oval Office and steel from the World Trade Center, will reopen Oct. 18. The special exhibit, Out of Many, One: Portraits of America’s Immigrants, is currently open to guests. Capacity will be limited and advance online ticket purchase is required.

Don’t miss this year’s Laura Bush Book Club at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 – part of our popular Engage at the Bush Center, presented by Highland Capital Management programming. Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, a national security expert and former journalist, will discuss her latest New York Times bestseller, The Daughters of Kobani: A Story of Rebellion, Courage, and Justice about women of the Kurdish militia in northeastern Syria.

Tzemach Lemmon – who has also covered Afghanistan extensively and wrote a previous bestseller about the country – will be joined by Presidential Leadership Scholar Roya Mahboob, who will offer timely and thought-provoking insights on the unfolding situation in Afghanistan.

Merry & Bright Night: Nov. 18

This year, the Bush Center’s annual Merry & Bright Night family holiday open house takes on a new theme as we celebrate the festive food and many holiday traditions that were brought to the United States and integrated into our culture by immigrants. There will be music, holiday cookies, activities for the kids, a visit by Santa Claus, and more.
