With wildfires destroying millions of acres of land, hurricanes causing severe damage to multiple states, and cities underwater from floods, it has never been more urgent to act on climate change.
The constant stream of natural disasters we experienced all summer is why Anna was an original cosponsor of the Green New Deal resolution in the House.
To curb the dangers of climate change and protect the environment for future generations, we must:
Tax carbon emissions
Reduce fossil fuels usage
Invest in clean public transportation
Expand use of clean energy
And that’s just the beginning. If we don’t act now we will continue to see devastating impacts from climate change.
