John -
Ours is expected to be one of the most expensive Senate races in 2020, costing as much as $150 million dollars by some estimates.

Let's put that in perspective:

That's more than $100 spent for every person in Maine.

It's nearly $900 spent for every Mainer living below the poverty line.

That's more than $4,000 per Maine child living in poverty.

That's what Citizens United and Washington politicians have created, John: a political system that spends almost as much on glossy fliers as it does helping Mainers - one that's tilted in favor of the ultra-wealthy and against working families.

Well, now the working families are fighting back.

Will you chip in $3 today to fuel our fight?

I'm not a millionaire, John. I'm a mom, a motivated activist, and a concerned Mainer. I helped write the Maine Clean Elections Act to fix our broken system, and that's why I ran as the only Clean Elections candidate last year in my bid for governor. I know firsthand how expensive (and cost prohibitive) it is for everyday Mainers to even run for office.

But I also know that with a true grassroots movement and the courage to fight for the bold solutions we need, we'll win.

Because as much as the special interests are trying to undermine it, our democracy is still built around elections, not auctions.

That's why we're running this campaign in the same way we intend to represent you in Washington, by listening to working Mainers, by standing up for what we believe, talking about the issues, and refusing to bow to Big Money interests or establishment politics.

That's how we're going to take back our democracy, John.
Join me and let's take this fight all the way to Washington, D.C.
