Hi there,

This is a longer email, but I hope you'll read it.

This week marked the anniversary of the start of my campaign in 2016, and I wanted to take the time to explain why I'm in the Senate, working for people like you, friend.

I first got my start in public service as an advocate, helping to ensure that children like my son Ben, who experiences severe disabilities, would be fully included in their communities and have the same opportunities that all parents want for their children.

I know from experience how important things like affordable health care, paid family leave, and home-based care are, especially for families like mine. But many Americans cannot afford the support they need. That's why I am fighting to ensure that all Americans, regardless of personal circumstances, have the opportunity and resources to succeed.

Thanks to our Democratic majority, we've been able to pass critical legislation like the American Rescue Plan, helping to curb the pandemic, provide economic relief to the American people, and lower health care costs. But we aren't stopping there – I will continue working across party lines to strengthen the state’s economy, keep our country safe, and make it easier for New Hampshire families to make ends meet.

I’m writing today because it has been my honor to represent New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate, but there's still much work to be done. I only won my last election by 1,017 votes, making me a real target for Republicans who are already spending BIG to rally their base and tarnish my record. My team and I are no strangers to tough fights, but if we're going to win this, we will need the resources to do it.

I hate asking for money. However, my campaign is off to a slow start this month, and we need the funds to fight back against Republican attacks. Will you please rush $5 or whatever you can afford right now to help us win in New Hampshire and protect our vulnerable Senate majority? [[link removed]]

We need to keep the Senate blue to continue our work on issues like protecting reproductive freedom, ensuring that every eligible voter can vote, and strengthening our economy.

So please, consider making a donation today. [[link removed]]

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
