The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

While the House was in recess this week, I split my time between the Fifth District, where I visited with many of my constituents, and Washington, D.C., fighting back against Democrats’ constant need to insert the federal government where it doesn’t belong.
Read below to learn about the important happenings of the week!

Senior Citizens Resource Fair

A big thanks to everyone who attended and participated in our Senior Citizens Resource Fair this week! It was a pleasure talking to you all and gathering together as a community. The event was beneficial in connecting seniors and their families with useful resources in our community. But please don’t hesitate to contact my office if there’s anything else we can help with! Click on the photo below to hear my remarks on the event:

Calling on President Biden to Address the Border Crisis

I sent a letter to President Biden this week, once again demanding answers on his response to the ever-worsening border crisis that he created. Biden has worked overtime to erase Trump administration policies and programs, like Remain in Mexico, that were securing our border and discouraging illegal immigration. The Del Rio humanitarian crisis will not be the last of the large groups demanding entry into the United States, so we must re-implement policies that we know provide stability and security. My letter, signed by 33 of my colleagues, demands information about the extent of the crisis and how the Biden administration is responding to it. Click on the letter below to read it:

Democrats’ Socialist Spending Spree

While our national debt is rapidly approaching $30 trillion, Democrats are trying to pass a $1.2 trillion dollar “so-called” infrastructure package and a $3.5 trillion reconciliation package. These bills are inseparable. A vote for the infrastructure package is a vote to clear the path for the reconciliation package. Both packages are filled with wasteful spending and tax increases to offset the costs. These packages will further fuel inflation and hamper our economic growth. Click on the photos below to hear more of my thoughts on the bills and follow my Facebook and Twitter accounts for details on what’s included.

Democrats’ Hearing on the Arizona Audit

On Thursday, the House Oversight Committee held a hearing to attack the Arizona audit.  Democrats have been highly critical of the audit, even before it began. But they cannot argue that questions of election integrity from Republicans are an attack on our constitutional republic after four years of unfounded claims that the 2016 election was stolen by foreign interference. The Arizona audit did exactly what it was supposed to do: it uncovered errors, irregularities, and cyber security failures that need to be investigated and remedied before the next election. I supported the audit because I want election integrity restored so that the American people can have faith in our elections.  Click on the picture below to hear my full opening statement:

“Biden is the Wrong Leader for America”

We need a leader to mend the wounds of our nation, a task President Biden has failed to do. Instead he has widened the divide between the elites and everyone else just 8 months into his presidency. Click on the photo below to read my latest Op-Ed on the travesty that is Biden’s failed leadership:

Visit to Brenntag in Chandler

This week, I visited Brenntag Pacific, the second largest chemical distributor in the United States, which is based here in Chandler, AZ.  Their high quality, high paying jobs are a boon to our economy and keep America's consumer supply chain operating efficiently. Below are photos from my visit:
