Dear John,
Lately, you’ve heard in the news about the $1.2 trillion hard infrastructure package and the $5.5 trillion Trojan Horse reconciliation package…I have previously stated that I support the $1.2 trillion hard infrastructure package, AS LONG AS IT IS NOT TIED TO THE $5.5 trillion far-left socialist wish-list.
But, if they are tied together, ‘all bets are off.’ I cannot and will not support the $5.5 trillion big government socialist reconciliation package for many reasons. Here are just a few:
Creates a new surveillance program that allows the IRS to monitor and track every single bank transaction made without a warrant, permission, or limit. They’ll know when you buy a couch, pay rent, make car repairs, etc. They want to treat ALL Americans as CRIMINALS and kill small community banks.
Funds abortions by ignoring the long respected bipartisan Hyde Amendment protections that restrict government funds for paying for abortions.
Props up the Green New Deal with $630 billion at the expense of small business owners and their employees.
Imposes $2.1 trillion in tax increases on American families and job creators.
Gives tax breaks and handouts to the wealthy and corrupt.
Impedes and bans domestic energy and mineral production, weakening our national security in an uncertain world by increasing our dependencies on resources supplied by OPEC, Russia, and China.
Raises taxes on natural gas, increasing the costs of nearly all home goods and basic necessities.
It’s disappointing that the hard infrastructure bill was derailed by the progressive wing of the democrat party, causing Speaker Pelosi to cancel the vote, not once but THREE TIMES. Quite simply, the far-left members of the Democrat party want to unravel the very fabric of this country that gives us personal freedoms and opportunities…and replace it with cradle-to-grave government programs that will dictate your life.
The civil war in the Democrat party that we are seeing between moderates and progressives was on full disapply this past week when Senator Kysrten Sinema was stalked into a bathroom and confronted about the far-left socialist agenda…even though filming someone in a bathroom without their consent is a felony in the state of Arizona. I may not agree with Sen. Sinema about many things, but this intrusion into a space where everyone, regardless of sex, occupation, color, nationality, etc., is unacceptable and everyone should feel safe.

Finally…I want to bring attention to a direct threat to our 1st Amendment. President Biden’s Department of Justice is looking to bully parents who exercise their right to disagree with school boards on a variety of issues. To be clear, I DO NOT support those who threaten, intimidate, or harass our elected school board members with violence, doxing…or following them into a bathroom. But parents have every right to be furious and express their disappointment, anger, and concern regarding their child’s health and well-being. I encourage local school boards to work with local law enforcement to ensure that everyone has the right to safely share their opinions, and no one loses their voice.
