I’m disgusted but not surprised, John.
After Trump made reprehensible comments comparing an impeachment investigation against him to “a lynching,” Senator Lindsey Graham defended him saying, this is “a lynching in every sense.”
It’s absolutely disgraceful that Senator Graham would invoke such a painful part of our country’s past and ignore the lived experience of Black Americans across this country -- especially in South Carolina which has at least 156 reported lynchings.
South Carolinians deserve better than a spineless lapdog unwilling to stand on the right side of history. That’s why DFA is doing everything we can to kick Graham out of office and elect progressive Jaime Harrison to the U.S. Senate.
Split a donation now to send a message to the GOP that you forcefully condemn their lynching comments. Every dollar you give helps us elect Jaime in South Carolina and take back the Senate for Democrats in 2020.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
We shouldn’t have to tell elected officials that comparing anything to a lynching is reprehesnible, digusting, and cruel. Not that it matters. Graham won’t listen.
The only thing Graham cares about is winning reelection, but with your help, we’re not going to let that happen.
Thank you for everything you’re doing to stand up to racism, hate, and Lindsey Graham.
