By Victor Davis Hanson (American Greatness)

As we watch events unfold in 2021, obvious questions about the fitness of our national leaders present themselves. Who are these new woke national icons and how did they come to lord it over the rest of us? Milley, Fauci, and Biden are soulless men who reveal the bankruptcy of our ruling class. The Biden Administration last week issued its order to penalize businesses and individuals who refuse to receive the currently available COVID-19 vaccines with the same disregard for reality by which they ordered the abandonment of Afghanistan. If a comparable rout does not result, it will be a miracle. The administration decided to use force, in its own name and on a substantial portion of Americans, precisely at a time when facts about the vaccines’ usefulness—which raise questions about their very status as “vaccines” in the ordinary sense of the word—had become indisputable. College is where many find love and ultimately marriage. College is about learning and earning, but also about developing life-long friendships. Majors are as important, often more important, than choice of college. For most students, good advice is to “Think about what you like and are good at, and explore different options early in your college career before choosing a major.” READ MORE » ([link removed])

Lessons from Employer Vaccination Mandates ([link removed])
By William J. Watkins, Jr. (Real Clear History)

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave its blessing to a COVID-19 vaccine for use on a non-emergency basis. Now millions of Americans could face employer mandates: get your shots or lose your job. The $64 question is whether the courts will let employers make vaccination a condition of employment. In Alexander Hamilton’s America the answer is yes. READ MORE » ([link removed])

Fumento Misdiagnoses Remdesivir ([link removed])
By Raymond J. March (AIER)
[link removed]
Lawyer and author Michael Fumento recently argued that the FDA’s approval of the COVID-19 treatment remdesivir has failed patients and provides another example of the failure of the “Do something, anything” approach to combat the pandemic. Mr. Fumento correctly notes that remdesivir previously struggled to receive FDA approval. But he neglects to mention why the drug remained off the market. Far from being “a drug in search of a cure,” as Mr. Fumento suggests, medical literature suggests remdesivir was a promising treatment that helped patients during two previous epidemics. Its greatest challenge was regulatory, not clinical. READ MORE » ([link removed])
