[URGENT] The Violence Against Women Act, which protects victims of domestic violence, has EXPIRED! Send a letter to your senators and demand they vote to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act!

SEND A LETTER

John,

As you may already know, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Domestic violence and gun violence are closely intertwined. Every 16 hours, a woman in America is shot and killed by a former or current partner.

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was passed in 1994 and expired earlier this year. The House of Representatives passed a bill to reauthorize it months ago, but Mitch McConnell has refused to even bring it up for a vote on the Senate floor. That’s a ploy we recognize all too well.

John, protecting victims of domestic violence is of utmost importance. We need to keep the pressure on the Senate to protect survivors and reinstate VAWA now!

Can you send a message to your senators and urge them to reauthorize VAWA?
