Friend,

This past weekend, Texas showed up.

We just launched our program to register hundreds of thousands of young Texans in the next two election cycles and encourage millions more to turn out to vote.

We heard from leaders and young Texans about the challenges young people are facing, and we’re ready to transform Texas’ future. If our launch in Texas showed us one thing, it’s that our future is bright.

Our statewide launch was a resounding success and our message was loud and clear: We are building a government that serves us and we are doing it with our vote. We need allies in our fight to protect our voting rights, not adversaries. Our Texas events were a prime opportunity to speak to the leaders on our side and we can’t wait to do it again on a national scale.

Here’s what happened at our Texas launch:

- We started our statewide tour in the Rio Grande Valley, meeting with and listening to local leaders in McAllen, which culminated in our Houston People’s Hearing.
- Along the way, we registered voters at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, rallied alongside activists at the Houston Women’s March, and established an essential foundation to organize young voters across Texas in 2022 and beyond.
- At the Houston People’s Hearing, we had a fantastic conversation with a number of our leaders, including NextGen America founder Tom Steyer, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and Congressman Al Green.

The power of young Texans is palpable and undeniable. We felt it in the energy folks brought to Houston. Our launch sparked the necessary dialogue between young voters in Texas and our leaders, setting Texas on a path that works for all of us.

And here’s the best part -- our Texas launch was just the beginning. From here, we’re going to register and mobilize millions of young voters in Texas and around the country.
