A Boy with Autism Said He Wanted Friends. So Over 50,000 People Sent Him Birthday Greetings.

By: Zachary Mettler

One boy with autism, who said that his two wishes were to learn to drive and make friends, just gained a whole lot of them.

Daniel Harrison, who has autism, lives in Nottingham, England.

“Daniel, for the first time, was asked at his special needs school to write two things that he’d like to achieve,” Daniel’s dad, Kevin Harrison, told CBS News. “His first was learning to drive and the second thing — which surprised us — was ‘make some friends,’ because we didn’t understand that he understood the theory of friendship.”

Harrison added that Daniel has never expressed wanting friends, “So, that shocked us to the core, really.”

Harrison decided to send out a tweet asking for people to wish Daniel a happy birthday.

I Miss Rush Limbaugh

By: Paul Batura

It’s been just over seven months since radio legend Rush Limbaugh died - and eight since signing off for his final show on February 2, 2021.

Radio personalities come and go, sometimes quietly and even mysteriously. At times, station managers invoke Soviet-era tactics, surreptitiously making talent changes overnight. It’s the nature of the business, not wanting to promote another station or call attention to a departing personality. One day a host is advertising a local car dealership, the next day they’re gone. Explanations are rarely given – they’re into the ether and out of our lives.

But not Rush.

A fixture on the dial for over 30 years,

Rush Limbaugh was woven into the fabric of weekday radio life. Critics couldn’t stand

him , but they couldn’t ignore

him either. No matter where you were in America, you could find

him somewhere mid-morning or early afternoon, the familiar beat of ‘The Pretenders’ opening each hour of every show. Regardless of what was happening in the world, you could be sure

he had an informed opinion about it.

DOJ Asks FBI to Investigate Alleged Harassment of School Board Members

By: Jeff Johnston

School board meetings across the country have become contentious as parents push back on many areas of concern, including books and lessons with inappropriate sexual content, “transgender” policies that affect student privacy and safety, and radical ideologies such as critical race theory (CRT). School board members have shut down meetings, kicked out parents and called police to remove citizens.

As a result, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent a letter to the president asking for “federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence against public schoolchildren, public school board members, and other public school district officials and educators.”

The letter said that “many public school officials are also facing physical threats because of propaganda purporting the false inclusion of critical race theory within classroom instruction and curricula.”

“False inclusion”? Despite

Texas Supreme Court Sides Against Planned Parenthood, Refuses to Block Heartbeat Bill

By: Zachary Mettler

The Texas Supreme Court has turned down a request from Planned Parenthood to allows its lawsuit against the state’s Heartbeat Bill to proceed.

The law being challenged by Planned Parenthood, Senate Bill 8 (SB8), outlaws abortion in the state after a preborn baby’s heartbeat can be detected, which generally occurs around 6 weeks of pregnancy.

According to The Texas Tribune, a Texas state district court had indefinitely paused Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit against SB 8. “Planned Parenthood [had] asked the court to declare the abortion law … unconstitutional.”

Planned Parenthood had appealed this pause to the Texas Supreme Court, which ruled against the abortion giant.

Kimberlyn Schwartz, media and communication director for Texas Right to Life, celebrated the ruling in a statement.

“We are thankful that Planned Parenthood’s attempt to shortcut the normal process of litigation was again denied,” Schwartz said

U.S. Census Bureau Tracking Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation, Show Stunning, Confusing Results

By: The Daily Citizen

The United States Census Bureau has just started asking about sexual orientation and gender identity in their major Household Pulse Survey which tracks COVID pandemic behaviors, experiences and beliefs among its citizens. The findings on both are genuinely curious and reflect how problematic the new gender and sexuality categories truly are. They do not track with common assumptions.

Gender:

This latest Census data indicates that only 1% of all Americans identify as “transgender.” But what is most interesting is the remainder. One would assume that 99% of Americans would therefore identify as genuinely male or female. But this would be incorrect. Just under 96% say they are clearly and naturally male or female.

So what’s up?

The most stunning findings are found in the difference between the two groups: 1.5% of American adults — 3.8 million of them — identify as “none of these” and 1.7% – 4.2 million — refused to respond to the question. This means 3.2 percent of American adults do not identify as male or female or “transgender.”
