This is big ? a vote in the Senate is expected next week. This is a must-pass bill. If it doesn't pass, we get a government shutdown just in time for Thanksgiving ? and in the firestorm over impeachment, there's a serious risk that the negotiations could spiral out of control. Here's what we learned last night: Senator Tom Udall, the ranking member on the Interior-EPA Appropriations Subcommittee, said he expects as many as 200 amendments to be filed. There's a serious risk of poison pill riders being added at the last minute that could derail the negotiations. We must be on high alert. This is going to be a major vote. Earlier this year, Trump attempted to gut virtually every climate change program in the EPA and Interior Department. He pushed a massive 31% cut to the EPA. The only reason that DIDN'T happen was because the environmental movement turned out in a big way.
