The California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) and the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) invite you to join us on Thursday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT for the second installment of the solutions-based program, “A Blueprint for the Nation: Building Immigrant Power from New York to California.” This installment will focus on ending the deportation pipeline and building immigrant political power.
Although President Biden campaigned on an urgent promise to bring morality back to our immigration system, our leaders in Congress and the White House are struggling to provide even the most basic relief and protection to our immigrant families. A Blueprint for the Nation puts advocates and elected officials in conversation to discuss ways to remake our future and build a more equitable path forward.
On Thursday, October 14th, the second of our three part virtual series will include panels, “Building Political Power and Guaranteed Civil Rights” and “Ending State Support for Detention, Deportation and Mass Incarceration.” Panelists will include:
NY Congress Member Grace Meng
California Attorney General Rob Bonta
CA State Senate Maria Elena Durazo,
NYC Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez
The CIPC and NYIC have partnered to build a blueprint towards immigrant justice for our states, outlining a vision that we can advance regardless of the failures of our elected leaders in D.C. to deliver on their promises. Join us to learn how immigrant leaders, allies, and advocates are organizing to build an equitable future for all communities.
