‌John,

Today, the Texas State Senate will vote on the GOP-proposed congressional map -- the one that packs and cracks communities to eliminate competitive districts.

This map ignores public input, takes away power and representation from communities of color, and works hard to guarantee easy re-election for Republican incumbents who want to stay in office over the next decade.

Map manipulators in Texas and across the country are hellbent on trying to gerrymander their way into a decade of power -- at the expense of voters. Just look at how an election could play out under their proposed map: Republicans only won 54% of the 2020 congressional vote share, but under this map they would have taken 63% of the congressional seats!

Our team set an internal goal of raising $5,000 before the Texas State Senate votes on their new map this afternoon. Will you make a donation to All On The Line?

We knew the Texas redistricting process would be in the national spotlight. It’s one of the four states that some redistricting experts consider the potential path to flip the U.S. House for Republicans.

Ninety-five percent of population growth in Texas came from communities of color, many of whom live in suburban and urban communities. The map they are voting on today does not reflect this fact.

In fact -- in direct contradiction to the census data, the number of majority-white districts increases with this map. It also drastically dilutes votes from the cities and suburbs of and around El Paso, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Our team -- and the All On The Line movement across the country -- is working relentlessly to advocate for and with communities. We just invested tens of thousands of dollars in Texas to support local advocacy efforts as the fight for fair maps continues.

Will you make a donation right now to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000?
