Hi John,
Texas was once the center of freedom in this country.
But now, those rights are under attack because Texas Republicans passed — and the Supreme Court failed to stop — a draconian and dangerous abortion ban from going into effect in our state.
Governor Greg Abbott effectively created a dangerous vigilante state at the expense of Texas women.
But Democrats aren't shutting up or putting up. We're fighting back — through activism and the courts.
Last weekend, Texans gathered by the thousands to march across the state in opposition to Abbott's #TexasWaronWomen. Then yesterday, a federal judge in Austin sided with the Biden Administration, who sued to block Texas' vigilante-style abortion ban from taking effect.
It wasn't even one hour later before Republicans moved to strip Texas women of their constitutional rights again by appealing to block the injunction. We must continue this fight at ballot box to make sure the people who keep launching these attacks don't get re-elected. Texas requires leaders willing to take a stand for what's right.

He just hoped that he would one day be able to make a difference in the lives of his friends and neighbors. That simple goal has taken him all the way to the halls of Congress, where he is proud to represent not only the friends and neighbors he grew up with but hundreds of thousands of diverse voices across North Texas.
