Dearest Comrades,
Our second social is upon us! Please join us this Saturday (10/9) starting at 2:00pm at Garland Park - off Cherry Creek Drive between Holly St and Monaco Pkwy. Unlike the last social, we won’t be having a full-on cookout. There will be snacks and drinks and as always you should feel welcome to bring something to share with your comrades. There will also be yard games and sign-up sheets for anything you’re interested in - along with a few casual announcements made throughout the day from various committees and active campaigns.
Additionally, we will be celebrating the NEWR campaign wrapup - whose signatures are currently being tallied by Denver Elections - alongside the wonderful news of Bryan Lindstrom's endorsement by National DSA for Ward 2 on Aurora City Council. If you are interested in canvassing for him this weekend, or anytime before election day, please join the whatsapp group! Also, be sure to check out all of the updates in the newsletter this week if you are interested in pitching in however you are able.

🌹 NEWR Fundraising & Signature Gathering CanvassThe campaign to get No Eviction Without Representation onto Denver’s ballot ended on Monday with over 13,000 signatures submitted to the Denver Elections office for November 2022. The final push over the last couple of weeks saw more & more canvassers hit the streets to provide NEWR with a healthy cushion of signatures needed in anticipation of some being removed as they go through the counting process. We will know in the coming weeks whether NEWR met the required threshold. Congrats to everyone who helped with NEWR for a job well done towards housing justice in our fair city. Stay tuned for updates on the campaign to get NEWR passed.
