New Orleans DSA - Weekly Update

Hello!

We wanted to update you on some ongoing chapter work and let you know about a variety of ways to get involved. DSA mutual aid work continues, and we met for a debrief this past Tuesday with members of other chapters in the state and will be reconvening again soon. If you’d like to attend, check out dsaneworleans.org/events for this and other events. All of our chapter meetings are open to the public and accessible via zoom.

The Save your Nola Library Campaign is building off last year’s successes and is looking for volunteers to Get Out the Vote and for coalition building for the December vote. You can email us for more information on how to sign up!

Our Electoral Working Group has hit the ground running working on our Voter Guide for the upcoming election! If you are interested in writing/researching/editing you can join the #electoral-working-group on Slack.

We have a members-only Slack where we have discussions and plan out our work between meetings and events. Email us at [email protected] to get connected. Not a member? See the link at the bottom of this email for instructions!

Solidarity!

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].

Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
