October 1st was National Hair Day in the United States, and I just HAD to share this pic of my daughter’s ‘fro.

I’m in awe sometimes of how far we’ve gotten in the natural hair movement in my lifetime, but unfortunately we still have a long way to go before we truly end discrimination in this country.

I’m committed to creating a future where no one is discriminated against based on their natural hair. Regardless of who you are and where you come from, your natural hair should be celebrated. 

The House of Representatives recently passed the CROWN Act, legislation that protects everyone from hair discrimination. Will you sign on as a citizen co-sponsor and demand that the Senate pass the CROWN Act now?

Natural hair is beautiful, resilient, and versatile, and everyone deserves to live and work freely without judgement on our hair. No matter the cut, shape, or style our hair is professional and worthy of protection. Only fourteen states across the country have laws against hair discrimination. Will you sign on and stand with thousands of activists in the fight against hair discrimination?
