Police officers in our state's capital will no longer be able to respond to non-emergency calls because of their severe staffing shortage. So instead, Austin residents are being asked to call 311 to file a report. This is devastating news.




In August of last year, the Austin City Council voted to cut more than a third of their police budget and to allocate it to public services. Since then, homicides have increased 96 percent, and 15-20 officers are leaving the force every month. 




The Left has been pushing to 'Defund the Police,' and these are the disastrous results. Our communities are less safe, and our law enforcement officers are being stretched thin.




The truth is that the Democrats' anti-police policies are endangering Texans. Defunding the police is an absurd, dangerous policy that puts Texans in harm's way. This cannot stand.




Texans do not support the radical 'Defund the Police' movement – we back our law enforcement 100 percent!




Defunding the police is just one example of the crazy leftist ideas that Texas Democrats want to enact. I'm fighting them at every turn. Can I count on your support to help me keep fighting?
