We hope you'll join us for our next Fall speaker presentation,
happening next Tuesday in celebration of Ingdigenous Peoples Day!
Indiginous Peoples and Climate Justice will be given by Professor Kyle
Whyte, Willis Pack Professor of Environment and Sustainability at the
University of Michigan. It will take place on Tuesday, October 11th at
1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.
An enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, Dr. Whyte will
discuss how Indigenous peoples are taking action to address climate
equity and justice and encouraging a transition to renewable energy.
Professor Whyte currently serves on the White House Environmental
Justice Advisory Council, the Management Committee of the Michigan
Environmental Justice Coalition, and the Board of Directors of the
Pesticide Action Network North America, where he works diligently to
lift the experiences and perspectives of Indigenous peoples in
discussions of climate policy and food sovereignty. We hope you'll be
able to join us to hear his unique insights on these important issues.
