Over the weekend, I gathered with hundreds of people in Whitefish in support of reproductive rights. It was a moving sight to see the outpouring of Montanans stand in support of women.

Dozens of anti-abortion laws have been passed in GOP-led states with the sole intent of reversing Roe v. Wade and stripping women of the right to make decisions that affect their lives.

Texas’s anti-abortion law, SB8, takes a woman’s network of support and destroys it. And the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold it is abhorrent.

The question is Who Decides? Is it politicians or women? Politicians have no place in making this most personal decision and I won’t stand by quietly while women’s reproductive rights are under attack.

Here in Montana, Republicans are waging their own attacks of women.

They doing nothing to make contraceptives -- a safe and proven way to reduce the need for abortion -- more accessible.
They’re doing nothing to make childcare more affordable for young mothers.
They’re doing nothing to help young couples be able to move into their own home.
They’re doing nothing to build a network of support around women when they need it most.

They are taking away our power to participate in the world on our own terms.

But we can defeat them. We have a vote and we have a voice, and we must vote them out.
