People profiting from the fossil fuel industry should not be writing our climate policy, period.

John,

$5,211,154.

That’s how much Joe Manchin has earned from his son’s energy firm — a firm Manchin founded himself in 1998.

Despite this glaring conflict of interest, Joe Manchin serves as the chair of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. All the while, he’s received thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Exxon lobbyists and Republican oil and gas titans.

It’s clear whose side he’s really on, and it’s not ours.

People profiting from the fossil fuel industry should not be writing our climate policy, period. Can you join us in telling Joe Manchin to remove himself from drafting climate policy by signing our petition? Add your name now:

While Joe Manchin raked in profits from the coal industry, an extreme heatwave melted roads and trolley cables in the Pacific Northwest.

While Joe Manchin took money from Exxon lobbyists, an oil pipeline ruptured and caught the ocean on fire.

While Joe Manchin wined and dined with Republican oil and gas titans, ancient sequoia trees burned and Hurricane Ida battered the Gulf South.

Senators like Joe Manchin were elected to serve the public, not corporate interests while padding their pockets in the process. We can no longer allow him to draft policy on an issue he is so clearly compromised on and doesn’t care about.

Sign on now to demand that Joe Manchin remove himself from drafting climate policy. Our lives, our communities, and our futures are at stake.
