The Washington Post's Cybersecurity 202 newsletter covers how to “carry out an ethical audit” and cites the New Hampshire audit that Verified Voting Director Mark Lindeman took part in ([link removed]) as an example of an audit with transparent processes and bipartisan support. The newsletter also directly references the Principles and Best Practices of Post Election Tabulation Audits ([link removed]) we encourage, including the importance of having trusted election officials, voter-verified paper ballots, and transparency around auditing processes.

Check out this explainer in which Verified Voting Director Mark Lindeman carefully lays out the difference. We’ve been involved in piloting risk-limiting audits in Pennsylvania from the beginning ([link removed]) and have been sharply critical of the partisan sham review of the 2020 election.
