Last night, Texans got some great news: a federal judge temporarily barred enforcement of Governor Abbott’s abortion ban. However, Abbott barely let us have our constitutional rights back for a single hour. Immediately after the judge’s order came out, Texas Republicans filed to appeal -- jeopardizing abortion access for millions of Texans once again.

Friend, the fight continues. I’m incredibly grateful to the federal government for stepping in, doing the right thing, and suing Texas’ Republican government to block this ban. And while this keeps moving through the courts, we will not let up in this battle.

Last weekend, hundreds of thousands of people marched across the country in solidarity with Texans. In 2021, it’s outrageous that conservative politicians are still meddling in our right to make the most intimate decisions about our bodies. And millions of Americans are standing with us, fighting to get Congress to codify Roe v. Wade into law, and telling Abbott’s GOP we have had enough.


There’s a long road ahead, but Texas Democrats are in this for the long haul. And there’s one way we put an end to these attacks on our most important, fundamental rights: by voting Abbott and Texas Republicans out of office. We need every Texas Democrat to join our movement to take back our state. Can we count on you to chip in $7 to power this fight?
