Donald Trump Praises IRLI’s Efforts and Results Former president urges support for IRLI in its efforts against a ‘destructive immigration agenda’ WASHINGTON—The Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) received a unique honor recently when former President Donald J. Trump issued a public statement praising the organization for its efforts and encouraging people to support the group in its work to protect Americans. The statement released by the 45th president on Sept. 30 reads as follows:
“The Immigration Reform Law Institute is fighting for you and me. They fought in the courts against the anti-borders Left to defend my immigration policies that Make America Great. Now they are pushing back against Biden’s destructive immigration agenda that weakens our great country and puts all of us at risk. I strongly encourage people to support the Immigration Reform Law Institute in their mission to protect our borders, our nation and our people.”
The IRLI activity in the courts cited by President Trump is a reference to a long string of victories the organization has earned in numerous areas including, most recently, a Supreme Court ruling for the resumption of the Wait in Mexico policy pending appeal, a district court ruling that effectively struck down Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and a Supreme Court decision that upholds the finality of removal orders. “We are appreciative that President Trump has brought attention to IRLI’s work and results,” said Dale L. Wilcox, executive director and general counsel of IRLI. “Virtually everything President Trump did to make our country safer and more prosperous is under assault by the Biden administration. IRLI will work relentlessly to defend the rights of all Americans from these destructive, anti-borders policies, and we ask the American people to help support us in this effort.” IRLI relies entirely on enlightened private donors for its financial support. Please consider a gift of support to IRLI so that we may continue to take on the Biden administration in court.
