“USPS mail delivery is about to get permanently slower and temporarily more expensive”
- USA Today
On October 1st, Postmaster Louis DeJoy’s 10-year plan for the Postal Service went into effect, slowing down mail deliveries even more and hiking up prices for customers.
Under DeJoy’s plan, mail service is expected to be “ slower than the 1970s. ”
I’ve heard from many Marylanders who are fed up with the decline in USPS services and missing mail -- including paychecks and prescriptions. Now, I want to hear from you.

Do you think USPS leadership needs to fix mail delays and return to a normal standard of service? [[link removed]]

I’ve made it a top priority to get to the bottom of these issues and make sure Marylanders get their mail in a timely fashion.
I requested an audit of several Baltimore-area post offices that have been impacted by these issues and have accumulated boxes and boxes of backlogged mail.
Marylanders and Americans across the country rely on a functioning Postal Service -- especially in the middle of a pandemic -- and I will keep working to address these issues so we can return to dependable USPS service.
