Hi John,
We've got two big events that I'm excited to share with you this morning:
SEE YOURSELF RUNNING: LATINX/HISPANIC CANDIDATES
Tonight @ 8:00 p.m. ET
First, we're celebrating Latinx Heritage Month by partnering with the Latino Victory Fund to host a See Yourself Running discussion tonight at 8:00 p.m ET!
Latinx folks make up about 18% of the population yet only hold 1.2% of local, state, and federal elected offices. Run for Something is committed to doing our part to fix this.
If you're a Latinx young progressive who's thinking about running, take the first step in the process and join us tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET. Learn from others who have been in your exact position, ready and willing to make a difference.
RFS ALUMNI AWARDS
Thursday, October 14th @ 7:00 p.m. ET
Second, we're incredibly excited to celebrate some of our outstanding alumni at the 2nd Run for Something Alumni Awards.
I'm so incredibly proud of every single one of our alumni. Each and everyone deserves HUGE recognition for the work they've done to push progress forward. So whether they won an award or not, this October 14th, we're celebrating them.
But more than that: You're invited too, John!
You're the reason we have alumni at all, and there's nothing quite like seeing some of the inspirational folks YOU helped elect -- it's why the Awards are literally one of my favorite events.
So don't wait to save your virtual spot today! Tickets are completely FREE, and we'll have some special guests joining us too (last year's Awards included Ilana Glazer, Juli?n Castro, and Hillary Clinton!) >>
See you soon,
