John,
People often ask me, "How can I make a
difference in solving a problem as large as childhood hunger?"
My answer is always the same: It's the power of one.
Drop by drop, the ocean is made. In the same way, one act builds on
another, turning into an ocean of compassion that puts food on the
table for millions of kids.
Your acts of generosity and kindness matter. Just look at our
response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Together, we helped bring about one of the
greatest mass mobilizations in history. Powered in part by generous
people like you, along with educators, cafeteria workers, bus drivers,
food pantries, and others who joined together to make sure the
pandemic and the school closings didn't get in the way of
putting food on the table for hungry kids.
One self-described 'lunch lady,' Ms. Lola, put it like
this:
"We had to reinvent everything: the way we would serve, the way
we prepare, the way we set up, even the way we talk to parents, the
way we talked to kids."
Then, one by one, Ms. Lola and her team ensured that 17 million meals
were delivered to kids in just one California school district.
That is the Power of One. It starts with you. And we are so deeply
grateful.
