Kids, 6 and 8, struck by driver on Walk to School Day

A driver struck a father and two daughters while they were walking to school in Congress Heights Wednesday morning at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue. Two counties call for bigger Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties are calling for a bigger Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The two counties are leading resolutions asking Maryland to replace the two spans on the current bridge with one structure that could accommodate at least 8 travel lanes.   (WTOP)

Drivers to get grace period for new DC traffic cameras

Drivers will receive a two-week grace period when new or upgraded cameras catch them in DC. The change came after complaints about how some of the cameras were operating, such as a stop sign camera in Petworth.  (NBC4. Tip: Chester B.)

New bill would create flood zones and require insurance
