John,

Right now we live in a country where the threat of gun violence is so
pervasive that we subject our children to traumatizing school shooter
drills out of fear that a shooter may come into their school. We're
subjecting our children to the fear and trauma of school shootings because
too many of our leaders refuse to enact common-sense gun safety measures.

I joined Everytown and Moms Demand Action as a member of their Creative
Council in 2015 because the work that they do to save lives by addressing
all aspects of gun violence is extraordinary.

More recently, I had the honor of working alongside Everytown to executive
produce If Anything Happens I Love You—an Oscar®-winning Netflix animated
short which depicts parents struggling with the trauma of a child taken by
gun violence.

Everytown and Moms Demand Action are working across the country to
pressure lawmakers to improve our gun safety laws, raise awareness about
gun violence, connect and amplify the voices of survivors of gun violence,
and so much more.

I'm so proud to be a part of this work, and that's why I urge you to join
me by making a donation to the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund.
