John,
The disaster at our southern border is appalling. Recently, I sent out this tweet:
Apparently, President Biden's "Border Czar," VP Kamala Harris, is more concerned about the immigrants illegally attempting to enter our country
than our overworked and underappreciated American Border Patrol agents.
While Harris is "deeply troubled" about Border Patrol agents on horseback who are trying to prevent immigrants from illegally entering our country,
like most Americans, I am deeply troubled by the fact that we have thousands of immigrants rushing our border daily
(with an estimated 50,000 more en route), taxing the system, and making life hell on Earth for the Border Patrol and the people of
the Rio Grande Valley.
John, on multiple occasions, I have called for Senate hearings about what is going on at our southern border, but unfortunately, we can't
get Democrats to hold such important hearings.
Whether they're in the White House or here on Capitol Hill, Democrats continue to turn a blind eye to – or actively encourage –
the endless stream of illegals, not just from Mexico and Central America, but the Caribbean, Africa, and even the Middle East.
John, that's why I am counting on folks like you to send a strong message to Democrats in Washington – it's time to address and fix the crisis at our southern
border!
It's worse than incompetence. President Biden purposefully canceled the completion of President Trump's effective border wall and ended the successful
"Remain in Mexico" policy that required asylum-seekers to apply and wait for legal status in Mexico or their home country.
Therefore, we must put even more pressure on President Biden and the Democrats in Congress to enforce our laws and defend our
border.
Until we can defeat the disastrous Biden-Harris duo in the next presidential race, we must continue to resist their open borders madness in
Congress.
Please add your name to DEMAND Democrats in
Washington fix the growing crisis at our southern border!
I know that together, we can make a change.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Graham
United States Senator
