Our challenge is making sure we reach new, undecided, and irregular voters before Kevin McCarthy does.

Big news, John.

According to the 2020 Census, California's 23rd District -- where veteran teacher Marisa Wood is facing off against Kevin McCarthy -- grew by more than 10%.

With redistricting well underway, we don't know exactly how much more competitive CA-23 will become, but we do know our district lines will change, bringing thousands of new voters into the fold.

This is a huge opportunity. Not just because we might be looking at a more competitive district, but because it's the first time California will mail every registered voter a ballot. Our challenge is reaching those new, undecided, and irregular voters before McCarthy does.

We have one main advantage. McCarthy's taken a TON of votes that are out of tune with the needs of our community. He's pledged to stop Biden's Build Back Better Act over "his dead body," he's joked about hitting Nancy Pelosi, and he recently threatened companies that release GOP phone records to investigators. The list goes on and on.

Marisa is fighting for issues that actually matter to the Central Valley. The choice will be clear, we need to make sure voters are well-informed about McCarthy's record and what Marisa has to offer, which takes time and resources. That's why we're asking:

Will you chip in $3 today to help us lay the groundwork for our ambitious voter contact effort? It's simple: The more we raise, the more voters we reach and we're coming up $5,191 short of our daily goal.
