Friends -

As you have probably heard, California is the first state in the nation to require our students to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This will go into effect following full FDA approval.

Why did I make this decision? Because it’s the right thing to do, and it will keep our kids safe.

We already require vaccines for measles, mumps, and more. COVID shouldn’t be any different.

This decision may not be popular with some of the people who protest vaccination sites and are opposed to mask-wearing in almost any circumstance, but it will save lives.

Now I want to hear from you — to see if you agree with this decision. Use this link to make your voice heard:

Please take my short 2-minute survey to let me know if you agree with my decision to require students to get vaccinated against COVID-19 following full FDA approval.

California has the lowest case rate in the United States, and we’ve maintained that status for some time. Not surprisingly, that’s been driven primarily by one of the nation’s leading vaccine efforts.

This is about keeping our kids safe.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts,

Gavin

Gavin Newsom is up for re-election next year and many of the forces who led the Republican recall are motivated to try again. We’re slowing down the pace of fundraising emails, but that means we need A LOT of supporters to become recurring donors to Governor Newsom’s re-election. You donated to beat the recall. Thank you. Can you become a monthly recurring donor to help re-elect Gavin Newsom?
